Chemists

Celanese employs more than 200 chemists throughout the world in a variety of specialties, including analytical, physical, organic, inorganic and polymer chemistry. Rather than simply working as a laboratory technician, entry-level chemists often lead teams of technicians and projects.

Chemists at Celanese have a wide range of career paths and opportunities to create and develop new products that improve the way we live. For example, someone who joins Celanese as a research chemist may advance in research and development or move into sales and marketing or plant leadership.

Regardless of their area of expertise, Celanese chemists typically have at least a Bachelor of Science degree, and many have advanced degrees. Additionally, all have hands–on experience—either through previous employment or academic research.
