Celanese owns and operates 10 emulsions manufacturing facilities throughout Asia, Europe and China. Our plants produce polymer emulsions including vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE), PVAc, pure acrylic and acrylic-based products. The products produced at all our plants meet global premium quality standards.

Newest Facility in Nanjing, China
Our newest emulsions facility, in Nanjing, was commissioned in September of 2007 as part of the Celanese integrated chemicals complex. The facility includes both pressure reactors for VAE emulsions as well as atmospheric reactors for other vinyl and acrylic based emulsions. The new plant will provide customers throughout Asia with high-performance, environmentally-friendly latex emulsions for use in the adhesives, construction, nonwovens, glass fiber and architectural coatings markets.
