Questions concerning safety, health and the environment are very important to Celanese Emulsions, and work with these issues is given high priority.

We work constantly to improve our products and processes to minimize the effect on the environment, to increase safety and to improve the working environment. As a part of this work, the company was certified according to SS-EN ISO 14001 in December 2002.

The Seveso II-directive
The law concerning measures to prevent and limit the consequences of serious chemical accidents (based on the Seveso II-directive) came into effect in 1999.

Celanese Emulsions Norden AB is affected by the lower classification level and has therefore sent a notification to Länsstyrelsen. In conjunction with Perstorp Industrial Park, where Celanese is situated, a safety brochure was produced for the purpose of providing information to the public.
