![]() Exterior coatings must protect the surface while proving a beautiful finish. Exterior house paints and plaster finishes are constantly exposed to harsh climates and dramatic differences in temperature. The choice of emulsion plays a role in paint properties such as resistance to chalking and dirt pick up and the prevention of efflorescence. Binder properties like color retention, resistance to yellowing or alkali resistance have an enormous impact on building’s exterior appearance and its adhesion to the substrate. Mowilith® LDM 7717 is an APEO-free, pure acrylic emulsion; it exhibits excellent weather resistance, UV-resistance and dirt-pick up. Mowilith LDM 2452 is an excellent solution for applications that require good adhesion, weather-resistance, good color retention (deep shade paints) and low dirt pick-up. It is well-suited for external insulating façade systems (EIFS). Mowilith LDM 6119 is ideal for silicate paints using water glass as the main binding agent. It has a minimal film formation temperature of 2°C and is characterised by a high degree of elasticity and good adhesion to the substrate. Mowilith Nano 9420 is an emulsion built from an organic, pure acrylic polymer and an inorganic SiO2-phase, which are chemically linked to ensure a homogeneous nano-scaled distribution of both phases throughout the entire film. Using this nano hybrid emulsion, it is possible to create a unique nano structure on the paint surface, which leads to an outstanding outdoor weathering behaviour with extremely low dirt pick up. It also exhibits excellent fire-retardant properties. Introducing Mowilith® LDM 1865: the next generation of VAE-based emulsions for exterior masonry facade paints & plasters. Products Emulsion
