Industrial manufacturers expect their coatings to deliver the premium functional qualities that customers expect in their wood windows, furniture and more. At the same time, these coatings are applied in very demanding manufacturing environments that have stringent requirements for environmental performance, processability and cost control.

Wood is a natural product that requires special protection and regular maintenance. In addition, it constantly changes its dimensions depending on the temperature and degree of humidity. This creates the need for coatings with excellent balance between protection, block resistance and elasticity, for which we developed Mowilith® LDM 7416, an acrylic emulsion based on "core-shell" technology.

Coatings for furniture or parquet flooring demand chemical and mechanical resistance as well as a beautiful appearance. Mowilith LDM 7461, a pure acrylic emulsion, offers a high glass transition temperature (Tg) and outstanding chemical resistance that contributes to the long term protection of furniture.

Celanese Emulsion Polymers offers a range of APEO-free dispersions than can be easily formulated and applied via industrial spray technology and other application methods to ensure excellent processability. For anti-corrosion and metal applications, our technology offers excellent adhesion, water resistance and low water uptake.
Stain-blocking primers formulated with Mowilith® LDM 6159 feature good barrier properties against difficult stains such as tannin, water, grease or smoke to protect the top coat from discoloration.
Both Mowilith LDM 7431 and Mowilith LDM 7411 have improved salt-spray resistance and offer high block-resistance.  The emulsions also contain a wet adhesion promoter to provide excellent adhesion on critical substrates.
